Biography: Omar Abu-Ella received the B.Sc. degree in electronic and communication engineering (with honor) from Academy of Aero Studies and Sciences, Misurata, Libya, in 2001, his M.Sc. degree in communication engineering from The Higher Institute of Industry (HII), Misurata, Libya, in 2007, and E.E. degree from Columbia University at The City of New York, USA in 2012, and his Doctor of Science in Technology degree in telecommunication from University of Vaasa, Finland in 2014.He joined the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department at Misurata University in 2003 and he is currently the head of the department

Dr. Abu-Ella has worked as adjunct lecturer at different Libyan academic institutions: e.g., The higher institute of industry in (2007-2008), College of industrial technology in (2012-2013) and at The Higher Institute of Technical Trainers in (2007-2008). He is serving as Editor for Almadar Journal for Communications, Information Technology, and Applications. His current research interests and recent publications include several topics in the area of wireless and mobile communications, especially in the fields of: group decoding, interference mitigation, massive MIMO, and millimeter wave communication.
